This CD contains information on how health, safety and science are used in the workplace.

The Applied Science GCSE is a vocational course. This requires students to relate their knowledge to science in the world of work. This pack has been designed to give students access to that vocational context through Boots. Due to the familiar nature of Boots the students should find the portfolio work more accessible. The fact that most students will have shopped at Boots at sometime during their life will give them more confidence to approach the unit of work. The use of various learning styles throughout the delivery of the unit will also make it more accessible and interesting to a wide variety of students.
