takes learners on a virtual visit around a local Primary Care medical centre, including a Doctors surgery, phamacist and dental practice. The second is a visit to the Derbyshire Childrens Hospital, exploring the various job roles and skills required in the acute paediatric health sector.

This CD contains information about how a local medical centre operates and provides services for its local community.

The material on this disc can be used in conjunction with the Health & Social Care (Acute Paediatrics) disc to give learners an opportunity to investigate two different care settings.

The Society, Health and Development Diploma
*

At Level 2 there are ten generic mandatory learning themes and four that relate specifically to each of the main employment areas.

All of the principal learning is mandatory to achieve a diploma for any given level in the Society, Health and Development line of learning. This is to fulfil the request from employers that they understand what knowledge is covered in the core learning. It is also to support transparent transition onto progression routes from any level of the diploma.
In additional specialist learning there is freedom for the young person to explore a wide educational programme that may or may not have learning that is directly applicable to working in health, social care community justice and with children and young people.
