Unit 3: Graphics

Unit 3 gives students the ability to design and produce artwork that is effective at communicating with different audiences on screen and in print.  The unit has many links with courses in art, design and media.  Course content includes:

  • Selecting material
  • Developing graphic images
  • Using appropriate software, such as bit-map and vector-based tools
  • Preparing images for screen and print
  • Presenting work in an eportfolio and creating an e-exhibition
  • Project planning, monitoring and evaluation
  
     
  The great strength of ICT applications is the ability to produce high quality graphics, time and again. Learners will enjoy the opportunity to exhibit their work - something rarely done in other ICT qualifications.
